Nature has always held a special place in Monsieur Dior’s heart.  The Grand Soir Automate Jardin Rêvé collection celebrates this passion by transcribing with magic and refinement the different elements of this dream place.

On the dial, precious animals coexist with dreamlike flora. Mother-of-pearl rose bushes mingle with fine branches of polished gold and Monstera leaves set with stones and beetles. Lush mother-of-pearl designs complete this diorama while echoing the toile de Jouy which adorned 30, avenue Montaigne. By activating the automaton, this fabulous paradise comes to life and turns into an enchanted forest.

It is a visionary sphere of time, which has off-centre hour and minute hands, and where the usual crown on the side of the case does not appear. Each enchanted garden of the dial is surrounded by a bezel and lugs in pavé diamonds, the technique chosen by the Dior jewelers is the “serti neige” , the snow or fantasy setting, in which the gems are placed next to each other playing on their different sizes until they completely cover the metal. The selection of stones requires meticulous rigor, especially for those of smaller dimensions; the final result gives our eyes the sensation that the diamonds have fallen from the sky, in absolute freedom, landing here on the white gold like snowflakes to envelop the dials of the Dior Grand Soir Botanic .
