GA Team: How has your journey with 33 and Me Talent Agency influenced your growth as a fashion model?

Kelvin: My journey with 33 and Me Talent Agency has been life changing. Their professionalism is profound, they are big enough to create an incredible platform and yet mindful enough to care and nurture your career. 33 and Me Talent Agency has an incredible ability to identify real and raw talent and have the ability to develop your career and skills and bring out the best within an individual that meets the international and national industry standards. They have opened doors for me and given me opportunities within the 8 months of being represented, that most models can only dream of. My hard work, focus and determination has not gone unnoticed, which lead to multiple international doors opening for my professional career.

GA Team: What have been some of the most memorable experiences or campaigns you’ve worked on in your career as a model represented by 33 and Me Talent Agency?

Kelvin: Oh, there has been so many. But if I had to choose, it would be World Fashion Week Dubai. It broadens my horizons and opportunities, and it exposed me to the international arena. The whole week in Dubai, from rehearsals to the actual runway at The Versace Palazzo Hotel in Dubai was eye opening for me as a South African model. Meeting with international models from 7 different countries and sharing the runway with them was a dream come true. Dubai is so rich in culture, the people of Dubai are such beautiful people, and I was surrounded by natural and structural beauty.

GA Team: Can you tell us about your recent involvement with The Power of 5 FM Radio and the significance of this experience in your career trajectory?

Kelvin: My Manager Elsubie Louwrens called me to confirm a radio interview with key leading industry professional Karabo Ntshweng. The primary objective was to share our experience at The World Fashion Week in Dubai – and being the first South Africans representing our beautiful country; there was a lot of excitement. The interview with Karabo was insightful to the listeners as I shared industry tips and career advise, but the one part that got me was the 5 second flip the card game. It was such a fun experience having to think on my feet in 5 seconds and answer her questions. Dubai was an international experience; and being on The Power of 5 FM shows the support from our local community. I am grateful for the opportunity I experienced in Dubai and coming home to talk about it, this definitely created more opportunities and possibilities. I personally hope that it brought inspiration to everyone in this industry.

GA Team: What was your experience like making your television debut on ‘Klankbank‘ (soundbank)? How did this opportunity come about, and what did you take away from that experience? Could you share some details about ‘Klankbank’ (soundbank) for those who might not be familiar with the show?

Kelvin: “Klankbank (soundbank) “was a major milestone for me. I always wanted to be on the fun side of the screen. It was certainly a dream come true. I loved everything about it – the filming; the interaction; the behind the scenes moments but I love seeing myself on TV the most. I’m grateful to Elsubie
Louwrens and her team at 33 and Me Talent Agency for getting me this opportunity. I learnt that I can be versatile, and I learned the ability to think quick on my feet to be effective in the way I deliver in the moment. Klankbank is a music trivia game show that test your general knowledge on how well
one knows their music.

GA Team: We would love to know about your 2024 plans and if there are some exciting projects that you want to share with us.

Kelvin: I have a strategic vision and set of goals prepared for 2024. I am dedicating my time towards local and international casting opportunities and I am investing time into myself, skills development, exposure and personal growth. I am starting off 2024 strong. I will be flying to the UK on the 14th of February to model at London Fashion Week, followed by a flight to Milan on the 19th of February where I will brace the stage at Milan Fashion Week. Being cast to model London and Milan Fashion Week has been a dream come true, and a realization that international is not impossible. My ultimate hope in 2024 is to inspire others that come from South Africa to believe in themselves and their dreams and to know that in alignment with the right team, hard work and dedication, everything is possible, and my life is a living testimony of that. 33 and Me Talent Agency and my personal Manager Elsubie Louwrens, have contributed tremendously to my development and success, and I am excited for all the opportunities presented this year.
